Soggy wet days
cold and gloomy
grim and glum
so unassuming.
Hunched and hurried
through slippery streets
bumping, slumping
by and by.
Coats drawn close
with collars up
safe from a chilling wind.
Gloves and scarves
sweaters for sure
sniffling noses so red.
Seasons drag
but they pass
no longer are we patient
for these endless days
to come and go,
spring will bring
elation.
