Top 10 Tuesday: Peeking in on Characters’ Lives

April 7, 2015 by brooke 9 Comments

top 10 tuesday graphic 3

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

characters-to-check-on-1

1. Harry & gang – How are the kids doing at Hogwarts? Any shenanigans? I just hope Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione are happy.

2. Katniss & Peeta – The ending of Mockingjay was too…bittersweet. I felt like Katniss and Peeta just dropped off the grid, and there were so many things I still wanted to know. Has the rebellion ended? Have their wounds healed?

3. Katsa & Po & Bitterblue – Katsa and Po are off doing good things for people, and Bitterblue is queen. How’s life?

4. Alina & Mal – I’d just love to peek in on these two. What’s new at the orphanage?

5. Simon & Isabelle – One of my favorite YA ships of all time…I’d give anything to know more about Simon and Isabelle’s lives post-CoHF.

6. Ginny – Is she still traveling?

7. Skeeter – Is she a famous writer? Is she still advocating for change, tackling controversial and impactful issues?

8. Hazel Grace – I changed my mind. I actually don’t want to know.

9. Gigi & gang – Where did the girls go to college? What did they decide to do with their lives? Did they find love?

10. Cammie – Is she a super awesome spy, doing super awesome things for the world behind-the-scenes? Oops, that’s probably classified.

Have you read these novels? What would you expect from these characters? Who’s lives would you like to peek into?

Eeeek! The only book I’ve read is Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes but still not *The Last Little Blue Envelope* really need to read this book!

I’ve been torn between the Cassandra Clare books.. :0

I really enjoyed 13 Little Blue Envelopes and I couldn’t wait to read book 2, until I read that Keith had a new girlfriend! *gasp* So I put it off for a while because that really bugged me. But when I finally gave it a shot, I was so happy I did. In some ways, it’s better than the first. And it really gave me closure as a reader. As for Cassandra Clare, the Mortal Instruments books will just give you heartache and loads of stress but I ultimately think it’s worth it. I love her characters and all her witty jokes. 🙂 Thanks for commenting, Kerry-Ann!

I want to know allllll about the kids at Hogwarts. and their shenanigans. Though I’ll admit I’m still more interested in a seven book series about the marauders.

So many shenanigans! I wonder if Professor Neville can keep up with it all?? Yes – 7-book marauders series would be awesome! I hadn’t even thought of that, what a great idea 🙂 Thanks for commenting, Zoey!

Great list! I’m curious about Katniss and Peeta, too. I didn’t know whether to put Hazel Grace on my list, but decided not to, because, like you, I don’t really want to know (and have my heart broken all over again.)
I loved 13 little blue enveloppes, and I’d love to see if Ginny is still traveling, I think she should be! 😀
You can check out my list if you have some time : http://wp.me/p5pugy-bx 😀

I think you’re right – I should be happy with the ending John Green gave us, and avoid further heartbreak. :'( As for 13 Little Blue Envelopes, Ginny would be such an awesome person to travel with. I think we’d be good friends. Thanks for commenting, Marie! 🙂

I think Harry Potter is going to be on a lot of lists this week, and understandably so!
I just wanted to get to the point when Katniss and Peeta are a little less damaged and are actually happy. I also want to know what happens with Gale, he also deserves a happy ending.
I nearly put TFIOS on my list, but like you I don’t think I could cope with seeing Hazel Grace again. I like the way we said goodbye, I’m quite happy to leave it there.
Great list! You have reminded me of a few books that I really need to read! 🙂
