You watched us laugh,
you watched us learn,
you watched us grow…
and now it’s time
for you to go.
It’s so very sad,
we’ll miss you too
but as you know
you’re through.
Whatever you may go on to do,
we’ll be with you,
in mind and soul –
we hope to be in your heart
also.

I needed a new poem to put here on my blog, and I found this in one of my many journals! It’s short and sweet but I like the sincerity.
