My days of summer
are drawing to an end
no more dips in the pool
because its time for school.

It passed so quickly
these lazy days
homework is on its way
and my blue sky is now gray.

I never did do
the many things I had in mind…
no time for boredom anymore
busy school plans are knocking on my door.

Many memories of my summer
will I keep forever
of these I will daydream in class
looking out the windows of glass.

I know there is lots
to look forward to
during my freshman year
although I can’t wait for summer to get here. (again)
