I wake up in the morning
refreshed and ready to go
I’ll start the day with a smile
greet friends with a simple ‘hello.’
Some days are longer than others
but most days are a snap
here, there, everywhere,
out the door just like that.
The day is over before I know it,
can’t believe it was so short,
the sun goes down and then
it’s time to do it all over again.
